Is there such a thing as cane sugar-based coffee syrup or any that doesn't use high fructose corn syrup? In my shopping experiences, the brands I see on the shelves typically use HFCS, so I'm trying to see if a cane sugar-based alternative exists.

UPDATE 10/23/2022: I got myself a bottle of Dave's Coffee Syrup. Goodbye Eclipse; hello Dave's.

Dave’s coffee syrup only has cane sugar, coffee, and tapioca syrup:

You find it mostly at higher end stores, like I don’t think Walmart has it but Dave’s Market does

THANK YOU! I will definitely be buying one when I'm out shopping at Dave's Market. Come to think of it, The Pantry might've carried bottles but I never felt possessed to check it out. Rest assured, I'll buy one.

Different business. Although you still might find it there. Dave's is a coffee roaster in Charlestown.

Not from any of the major brands, but I'm almost certain I've seen little boutique ones that are hfcs free.

If you know of any brands and stores that sell 'em, tell me. I'm always interested in buying HFCS free.

I'd say check Dave's, they're likely to have the best odds.

I really doubt it exists. It's such a regional product for one thing, so you don't get the scale of competition for someone to try to develop an alternative or niche version. I think natural cane syrup may crystallize, so in addition to the cost factor, shelf stability may be a big factor in why it's all HFCS.

You can also make your own simple syrup. It’s just 1:1 hot water and cane sugar

OP asked for coffee syrup, not simple syrup

Oh no shit, I thought you might have just made an honest mistake and misread the question since you answered with seemingly unrelated info. Am I missing something? Could you please explain what it is that makes a simple syrup recipe helpful to someone looking for coffee syrup?

Jesus you people and your coffee syrup.

To be fair, it wasn't a rhetorical question. I'm genuinely curious as to the link you've formed between simple syrup and coffee syrup. You do realize that coffee syrup isn't just a sweetener right? It's like chocolate syrup used to make coffee milk.
