Played home games at Rogers High School in Newport. Had a 7 foot player named Manute Bol, also John Hotrod Williams Spud Webb and Muggsy Bouges.

Weren't they the tallest (Bol) and shortest (Web) at the time.

My grandmother used to manage a Cumberland Farms that was on Metacom Avenue in Warren (which is long gone), and I guess Manute Bol was staying in that area during this time and used to regularly go into the store. She said he was the nicest guy, and people got a kick out of just how tall the dude was.
