Hi, I need a CO2 refill for my next batch. I'm brewing a rye ale. I use to get refills in MA, but that's out of the way for me now. Are there any places local to Providence that sell CO2 refills to home brewers. I'm reluctant to go to a welding supply store for CO2? Thanks!

Welding supply places usually offer high purity versions of various gasses. It might be worth a call

Yes. I now see that Airgas in Providence sells beverage/grade CO2.

To highjack this comment, I use Cranston Welding Supply, I know a rep there and he uses their CO2 for his kegerator too

In a pinch I get tanks swapped at Blackstone Valley Brewing Supply (great shout to him), especially if I run out on a weekend when CWS is closed

CWS (Linde) is the way to go or Linde on Jefferson Blvd, I don't think Airgas is selling CO2 to COD customers right now. GrowGen gets their CO2 from Linde.

I use air gas for my home laboratory set up. Biggest issue is they're closed on the weekends

Welding supply places do. But also there is RI fruit & syrup Co in Smithfield (waterman ave) that also does.

IDK of the quality but I get CO2 from GrowGen in Warwick on JB and Organic Grow Hut in Johnston(Smithfield?) not sure if it has oils or anything like some other compressed gasses or if that’s even a thing with CO2.

Any grow show will have CO2. They're everywhere these days

Blackstone Valley Homebrew Supply store in Woonsocket exchanges tanks.

What's wrong with going to a welding shop? Cranston Welding on Park Ave sells CO2 fills for beverage service to homebrewers.

Let me also put in a plug for my friends at Blackstone Valley Brewing Supply in Woonsocket. They do CO2 tank exchanges. Not open today their days are WED-SUN but they are the best shop in the region if you also happen to be looking for a brewing ingredient supplier too.

How big of a batch? You can get Soda Stream canisters in a lot of places, not sure if they'll be compatible with your pressurizing set up, but maybe they'll do in a pinch.
