I’m looking at joining either ESporta or Edge fitness in the Warwick/Cranston/bald hill rd area. I’d like free weights/deadlift platforms and some fitness or spin classes, and a sauna or pool. It looks like they’re fairly similar gyms but I’d love to hear reviews or advice on the 2.

Never tried Esporta but Edge I go to. Edge is a good place to go. My only complaint would be that a lot of high school kids go in and just hog machines and areas so they can do photo shoots.

I've been to the Edge fitness in Cranston. All I can say is Edge does not have a pool or much privacy. Showers have lightly blurred glass doors. Toilet stalls have lighlty blurred glass doors. Really small Saunas have crystal clear glass doors. The female janitors get a free show anytime they want cuz management let them enter the mens locker/bathroom/showers without any announcement (had a women mop the floors while I was bathing not 3 feet away). I don't know if they let the male janitors do the same for the womens locker room/showers/toilet stalls but if you're a woman, defenitly be aware that it's a possibility depending on who they have working that day.

If you are not as self conscious as me, the only real draw back I would worry about is the lack of machines available during regular to peak hours. I really get the feel that they target highschool to college kids because depending on the time of year, you can almost never find a machine at a time a regualr person would want to get up and exercise.

Massage and tanning are also almost never available but to be fair that's not why anyone really goes to the gym anyway.

I do Edge off Bald Hill. No pool. Good free weight selection but it gets very busy in the evening after work. I've never had issues as a whole but I keep my workouts fluid as it seems there are days when the squat rack just seems to be consistently occupied.

I've never been to Edge, but ESporta is a great gym. Machines are never too busy, Lot's of room, and they do a ton of classes. Separate rooms for Spin and body weight classes too. It's always clean in there, and the cardio equipment is maintained pretty well. ESporta also has a daycare right inside if you need that.

I went to the Garden City Esporta for the first half of this year before switching to a new gym. The Google reviews are fairly accurate (the place is dirty, no one wipes things down after sweating on them, the staff is just there to sit at the desk and scan memberships, machines break often and take months to get fixed, staff will do things clearly against policy and loudly, etc) I've heard better things about the Warwick one however, and having a pool/jacuzzi/sauna and the option for childcare is pretty great.

we've been doing the esporta. You'll never get on the basketball court, but otherwise it's a great gym.

Edge is better quality but way overcrowded, at least in Warwick it is. I switched to LA Fitness aka Esporta.
