Well, I went today and it was successful. I don’t know why they made you do a vision test when you moved into the state. I just had to sign a form saying I have better than 20/40 vision that could be verified with a doctor. 20/40 vision is pretty bad tbh, so the roads are filled with 1) people who likely lied about their vision and 2) folks who truly have 20/40 vision but don’t need corrective lenses. This explains a lot about driving in RI.

Turns out it took 1 signature to avoid it.
