The first time they replaced my whole windshield they forgot to glue it properly. So that night, when it poured like two inches of rain, the inside of my car was soaked.

They were willing to come back and repair the windshield for free but told me they wouldn’t pay to have my car detailed to remove the water puddles on the floor.

I’ll use a shop next time. 😕

I had this same problem, didn’t realize it was the windshield for a while, I just knew when it rained the passenger floor got wet. I assumed there was a hole on the bottom and when I drove through puddles? Took it to an auto shop, they found the leak, and were able to have someone come out and redo the whole thing.

Definitely check when it’s done. The auto shop sprayed my car with a hose and found the leak. I would definitely check to see what the warranty is when it gets done

Similar problem. Mine wasn’t properly glued and while I didn’t get obvious leaking, my windshield would ice up on the inside.

I'd check out Spindle City Auto Glass in Fall River. They've done my windshield twice, and their price came in well under Safelite and they also offer on-site service like Safelite does. Worth looking into, at least.

Used the for my wife car a while back, can't speak for the pricing since it was through insurance but they came and did it in my driveway and seem to have done a fine job.

They were cheap. But, they damaged the trim on the A-pillar of my car (melted it). I tried to get reimbursed for the damage. They were very rude over the phone to me, and later to my spouse. I don't recommend them.

They destroyed a trim piece at the base of BOTH sides of my windshield when they did a replacement. One side was so badly damaged it flew off as I drove away. Couldn't get the time of day from them about getting replacements. Not expensive items either. $16 each from the dealer. I'll never use Safelite again.

Multiple windshield replacements and repairs from various independent shops over the years. Never any damage to anything.

If you have AAA they have a windshield vendor that will come out and do it as well for less than average prices. It depends on cars.

I have it covered through my auto insurance. It's pretty convenient. They came to URI and replaced my windshield in the parking lot while I was in class. I drove home after it set and it was great

Used them once. No sorry, 3 times. The first time the guy cut the wiper fluid hose and didn't reattach it, so it would just dump out under the car. Then the guy who came back to fix that didn't put my wiper arm back on the motor correctly so it just just twitched up and down instead of wiping. Ended up just going to their building and waiting around for someone to fix it and will never use them again. Least I didn't have to pay for it.

My insurance directs me to use them, but they seem to chip easier than oem glass.

I told them know last time and went to ford and recommended just doing oem if you can

They repaired a nick in my windshield about 15 years ago (through insurance) and it has held up (my car is 19 years old).

I used them years ago and it worked out just fine. They did the repair in my driveway, it was just a small crack so they filled it (or however it works) and I never had another problem with it. Was maybe $150 back then.

Almost always going to be more expensive than just bringing it to a small shop, but the quality and instalation are good

We've used them a couple times and haven't had issues. Came to the house or office, did a good job. I can't comment on cost because insurance covered it.

Fuck safelite. Window smashed in downtown PVD, they didn’t clean up any of the broken glass and I got all cut up because I didn’t see it in some spots. I told them about it and they kept ignoring me.

My insurance has a program with them so I just use them. They've been fine, I've replaced probably 3-4 windshields with them. And my bf also had a crack fixed with them. It seems to have been fine. Sometimes your insurance pays for cracks under he size of a dollar coin.

Yeah I used them this summer. They cancelled on me an hour before 3 times in a row. Then on the 4th they showed up with the wrong glass.

I ended up finding a place in Warwick who got in done in a couple days with no problems.

I used them for a replacement, luckily I didn’t have the safety devices that needed to be calibrated, but it was $300. The first one was not laminated and caused double vision, they came out and replaced at no charge.

Used them twice. Came to my house replaced the entire back window of my ranger. And once on a complete new windshield for my 2017 Tacoma. A different glass place qouted me over 500 bucks for it. I cant remember exactly the safelite price but it was well under 400 and it was an upgraded window and they came to my work. Love them

Used several times. Only had an issue once on a replacement where they didn't seat it properly. But every other time was fine. Recommend going to the shop instead of having it done in driveway/work place parking lot.
