Yeah, I mean idc but I'm sure someone could make a case for "damaging a person's reputation" I was legit just asking a questions, not trying to get all sorta of peoples feels and opinions lol ><

Look dude, no harm no foul. But in my opinion, this guy is putting his name on flyers like this and sending them to towns he doesn’t even live in. As a regular citizen of this state, I simply googled his name and found all sorts of information that’s out here for all to see. If he was worried about his reputation, he probably should’ve just not mailed the letters. Something tells me he is proud of this, and not worried at all. So fuck ‘em.

Doesnt matter how I view damaging a person's reputation... guess it's just up to a court if it goes that far, doubt it will bc this is reddit lol

Again you don't understand what slander is, so to answer your question no this won't go to court but not because it's reddit but because this is not slander.

Since you seem unwilling to Google it I'll explain it to you like your a child.

Slander requires knowingly saying false things about someone else. Posting online a picture of a letter that was mailed to you comes no where close to slander.

That's just part of slander, can't tell if you're purposefully leaving part of the piece out or not. Damaging claims is more so what I was asking about for this.

There is no other part, in order for something to be slanderous it requires it to be false, full stop. If I say negative but true things about someone it is perfectly legal as the first amendment makes abundantly clear, I don't know what else to tell you.
