Fung himself doesn't seem like a bad guy, I've met him a couple of times, but he is 100% wrapped up in that GOP "push the lies" that they all do. The minute you admit that any of their made up nonsense might not be true, they turn on you.

Of course going along with the bad guys doesn't make you "not a bad guy." IMHO

Yeah. I’ve pointed this out to family and friends who like trump (mostly because they by default hate all Dems). But I say “so we can agree you aren’t racist or a white supremacist or want to have billionaires paying zero taxes, right?” They say “yes correct”. I then add, “so we also can agree that you want good infrastructure, roads and bridges that aren’t crap to drive on, good education for our kids, you like social security and would love for healthcare costs to be low…right?” Again they reply “yes correct”.

Ok I then say “so why are you voting for the same candidates that the nazis and white supremecists vote for that are the ones who push tax breaks for the ultra rich, deny veterans (like me) aid, deny funding for education and infrastructure, and then refuse to vote for the candidates who push affordable healthcare, funded education, and taxing the rich?”

Their reply: “their voters use weird pronouns”.

Ok then. You’re a fucking nazi then. Because when you sit at the same table and hold your nose while supporting the same people. Yeah. You’re really no different.

He is who we think he is a MAGA at heart. When was the last time any R voted against their party?? If they did they suffer consequences and are called RINOS.. don't forget Fung killed a guy in 1989 and suffered no consequences even though he "lost consciousness".

Beware of Fung and don't believe anything he says....

That's kind of what I was getting at. Off the top of my head, Romney, Cheney, they were willing to at least do what they thought was right. And they got demonized for it by the right.

I guess what I'm trying to say is I don't think Fung is full on MAGA, he just doesn't have the conviction to stand up to them, which makes him someone not worth voting for. I could be wrong, and he could be Q himself, that's just not the impression I get.

I agree not at all confident that Fung has the cajones to vote against his party, not sure any Republican will. The R's are focused on "owning the Dems", whatever that means, at any cost.

He talks the talk, but not sure he can walk the walk.

I agree money is involved, but it's more than that. I feel like 10 years ago if someone in the party (either party) suggested that kids were pooping in litter boxes the rest of the party would have said "uhh that's crazy ". Now there is this GOP thing going on where you aren't allowed to call each other out, even if the other person is clearly unhinged (MTG). to me, that sounds dangerous as fuck, as the crazies whip up more crazy unchecked.

If GOP candidates aren't willing to call out the craziness, they can't be trusted in government.

To bring this full circle, Fung seems like a decent guy, and hasn't done a bad job from what I can tell, but he doesn't have the strength of will to admit that half (or more) of his party is completely nuts. That makes him an unsuitable candidate for office, regardless of what he personally believes.

Just throw morals aside (which given we're talking about politicians, they don't have any anyhow) and it's easy to spew that shit.

Most outside of a few total nutbags don't believe it anyhow. It's a means to an end.

That should 100% be reason for him to lose by a landslide.

Is there a ranking for RI politicians on what they cost compared to what they stole? Enough is enough already with RI complaints over nonsense because they go to the voter booth every year and vote to get screwed in taxes and graft. Look at the idiots the state has put in congress putting on show with nothing for the state. If you want to put these people in office its time to stop complaining about how the states in shambles and nobody in Washington cares. You picked it, enjoy it.

Gee, I didn't know that Hillary donated to Fung. She repeatedly called Trump an illegitimate President because of a Russian collusion hoax that she funded.

We actually agree on something. Let's see if we can agree on one more thing. I believe that Harris is totally unqualified to be President.

1

jaydizz t1_iv6sa1w wrote

If you think Harris is unqualified, then clearly you thought Trump was unqualified too, right? Or do you think being a failed game show host makes someone more qualified for the presidency than being the attorney general of California? That said, Harris, like Biden, is far too conservative to be a good President, in my opinion….

1

BMorris2526 t1_iv768qx wrote

I agree that Trump wasn't qualified. I couldn't vote for him or Hillary. However I did agree with some of his economic policies. The economic policies under this administration have been a disaster under this administration. That said, Biden certainly hasn't governed like a conservative. Most democrats disagree with you on Harris, which is why she rarely makes public appearances. I think she has the lowest VP approval rating in history.

BMorris2526 t1_iv0u6ie wrote

She called him an illegitimate president many times. She and her pathetic friend Stacy Abrams are election deniers. They are democrats, so a vote for a democrat is a vote for election denial.
