Exactly. See: https://www.rkcenters.com/about-2/
Why is it a stupid cartoonish looking basketball hoop? I have no idea and have wondered this many times. I see the basketball tie in story at the link above, but it still seems silly for a logo.

The owner, Raanan Katz, played basketball in Israel before moving to America.

They’re a big fan of basketball.
Lots of these plazas in the south shore, even saw one near West Roxbury.

The coffee at the McDonald’s in that plaza is good but the Wendy’s down the street is the cheapest in town , like a dollar for a large coffee.

It's a basketball going into a hoop. Basketball is a popular sport invented in Springfield, Massachusetts by James Naismath in 1891. Many books have been written about it and are available at the local library
degggendorf t1_iv3ymsp wrote
Further, it's generally regarded as a good thing when the basketball goes through the hoop, because that's the most common way points are scored in the game of basketball. However, it's only a good thing if you are on the scoring team.
It takes a precise throw to get the ball through the hoop, especially one so accurate that it never even touches the metal rim and only makes contact with the net the way it's depicted on the building. This is commonly referred to as a "swish" or "nothin but net".

Good point. This logo is unclear whether my team is scoring or I’m being scored upon. One of those makes me feel good and happy, the other gives me anxiety.

Hahaha this is all technically true, but not as an answer to OP’s question. I’ll upvote it anyway like other people did.

The answer is literally on the sign directly in front of the giant circle you added….

No, not on the building, on the sign

I understand their confusion. We are conditioned to expect the Carpionato logo on strip malls and shopping plazas here in Rhode Island.

They’re all over the place in some towns in south Florida. Practically every building in North Miami Beach and sunny isles for example. He’s a former Israeli basketball player and part owner of the Miami Heat and his initials are RK. I didn’t know his company expanded into New England.

Holy shit, I didn't realize that until you said something. My family has a condo in NMB right by one of his plazas and I never connected the dots.
I have definitely specifically noticed the logo in both places but never made the connection.

Eh, I think the other posters were right that it’s the logo for the company that built/owns the plaza. I can’t imagine that it would be desperate attempt to defraud young women. But bay, maybe.
