Trying to hit as many as possible in the RI area. Any places I should stay away from and any places that you recommend.
Appreciate any input.
Happy Thanksgiving

Agreed! grieco sucks.
I live in RI as well-
1.Use Car Gurus and Refine your search to exactly what you want.
2.I've gone into Massachusetts to purchase my past 2 vehicles and saved thousands!
How has buying in MA saved you thousands? Are you talking over the line in Attleboro or going further north?
Price of used cars are less. Like I said use Car Gurus and refine your search. Even capital one auto navigator was useful. I bought a 2018 vw tiguan fully loaded & 2019 vw atlas fully loaded
More features and less miles than the ones I found in RI. It helps keep you in the warranty longer and give you more buying power if you are financing. (Less risk for banks resulting in a better rate)
Just keep in mind if you have to go to the DMV yourself to register the new vehicle you are responsible for the sales tax that visit.
Good thing you save thousands so you can put that money towards inevitable Volkswagen repairs.
We bought our last 2 vehicles in Mystic CT, at Valenti. We paid less and got great service.
I bought my car last year at Balise Honda in North Attleboro. No markups or bull. I'd personally avoid anything Grieco. I've heard stories and was just there for an oil change and saw multiple vehicles with a 7k plus markup.
Porsche dealership in Warwick is good
While I realize this may not be a very well-liked post, I have always had good luck with Herb Chambers. I have been buying from the dealership in seekonk for 25 plus years. If you do check them out, ask for Sam. He's always treated me well!
Shop online. Find the car you want and the price you want and search until you find it. Buy it, don’t go in to the brick and mortar,
Bristol Toyota has treated me very well
Bob Mederios sold my father his Tacoma and me my RAV4
I went a little over the line to Mendon Mass and bought from Imperial Cars. Tons of inventory and pressure-free experience.
I bought my car from flood Mazda in Wakefield a few months ago and had a great experience.
Personally I would stay away from the Tasca dealers though.
If you check out Herb Chambers try and talk to Tim in sales, he's the man. Blew my head gasket last November and needed a car. I caught a perfect match right when they listed it, called him off the clock intending to just leave a message but he answered and all but reserved it for me. Very low pressure (especially for car sales) and looks out for your interests. Just make sure you pass on the Millennium Extended Warranty if you're buying used. Or do what I did and cancel it at the last possible week to get your money back.

We had a pretty lousy experience with Grieco. Everything from dishonest advertising about price, to having to beg and pester to get the plates we paid them to get, to arriving for an appt and waiting an hour anyway. Just bad.
