Goosewing (south shore beach), Point Judith in Narragansett, Ruggles (off of the Breakers in Newport) are reef/point breaks that will be firing if you can hang there. Ruggles is mostly advanced surfers and locals. If beach breaks are more your thing, try second beach in Middletown. First (Easton’s) and second are close together, so you can drive by and check both if you’re in the Newport area.
