I am definitely not going to vote today, and I think it would be pretty dumb if I did.

^(because it would be a felony, I voted Friday)

Guy next to me was filling out the ballot with his elderly mother. Question 1 for the local was about weed dispensaries being allowed in town. He said “this one’s about being able to sell marijuana.”

His mom said “Whaaaaaat?!” Lmao

He was like “well it’s already legal, mom”

Done. And brought my 19 yr old to vote too. Enticed him with a cold but sunny motorcycle ride. :)

Got it. Write-ins down the ballot and no on question 1.

The URI Narragansett Q? Can I ask why?

Partly because the ballot is intentionally deceptive in that it tells you the amount of money that is going to be borrowed, instead of the amount of money taxpayers will actually have to pay, but also because I just don't think its needed. URI already gets millions. It doesn't need 100 million more to fix up a satellite campus that used for a couple small-enrollment majors. And frankly, their whole "Vote yes on 1" campaign is annoying.

Fair enough, I suppose I didn't see the ballot as deceiving given I'd read the questions in the mailer that was sent out a few weeks ago.

Same. The only person I voted for with conviction was James lathrop for treasurer. The resume is beyond impressive. No disrespect to Diossa but he’s outmatched here
