I have a chance coming up to buy a couple of sharks and an octopus. For pets not for eating. I have the experience and I have all the knowledge, space, tanks, etc. What I'm curious to is a lot of states say owning a true shark is illegal. Before I go out of state to commit, is it actually legal to own a shark or octopus here in ri

Wow. How are you keeping them? In a swimming pool? How big are these things. Do they fight eachother?

I'm a surfer and a diver. These were not mine to begin with but a friend of mines in Deerfield MA. He needs to re-home them, I've had large fish before never a shark but I've had other large fish so I have the tanks. And no pet store or adoption is going to. It's as much a mercy as a passion

It's not like I won't keep them. I quite enjoy them, however I was just curious to the legality. When I went to biomes it was nice but these have issues with playing nice with others. So they have to be kept separate and alone. They can't be in communal tanks
