Glad I'm not the only one who has conflicting feelings on this. I'm def not thrilled with the process and funding to make this happen, but I'm super excited to have a soccer team nearby! I'm for sure putting down the deposit for 2 season ticket seats tomorrow once that opens up.

I think the finances of this make zero sense. It’s hard to see this being profitable. Having said that its pretty much set in stone so I hope it works out and I hope to get into it and catch a game.

You're 100% right it's shitty, but people have short memories.
More important, not a lot of people in the US watch soccer so it will be interesting to see if the community will even sustain this gross misappropriation of tax dollars.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who sees this. It's amateur in an Under Armor kind of way. The colors are flat and trendy, not timeless and the badge looks like it's from an off brand XBox soccer game.

It is a great idea, even though it's funding is a little dodgy. Still, I wish it every success. There is a very ardent fanbase baked into our population where futbol is life.

I’ve tried, but my ADD isn’t compatible with spectator sports. Nevertheless, I’ll buy a hoodie to show support for the home team. I’ll put it in rotation with my Newport Gulls hoodie.

Public funding for stadiums is shitty and the way that went down will be hard for people to look past.
Still, as far as the team itself, I’m excited for this. Live soccer is fun. USL’s quality is getting better. The logo is cool. I’m looking forward to going to games with my family.
