That's so sick
Curious why I'm getting downvoted for asking a question...
Welcome to Reddit lol. I once got downvoted for giving an honest restaurant suggestion. Like why would you downvote someone stating their opinion on a restaurant/ trying to help you out
I’m currently being downvoted in the r/Connecticut subreddit for pointing out a news article referencing the “Groton Fire Department” is inaccurate because there is no Groton Fire Department.
Who puts out Groton fires?
Reddit is Rediculous
FWIW your question doesn’t show up in the app from the Home view. I literally just see “Flu.” Thought that was the entirety of the post until I clicked through so maybe others doing the same?
That could be it
Welcome to Reddit, you will be downvoted for asking a question instead of getting an answer
reddit’s rules:
It’s required that if anyone complains about down votes, they get more down votes.
Only Moderators get to decide whether your ban was fair.
Is that what the downvotes are about?
I never had a clue what the up and down votes meant.
You are? That's messed up.
Just drink a little reindeer piss makes one immune to the flu.
No, but I've noticed a lot of people have the flu over the last 2 weeks.
I’ve heard that it’s been brutal this year. Hope you feel better soon.
For future reference (maybe you already know this): if you are exposed to the flu or catch it, you can ask your doctor about prescribing tamiflu. It really helps but I think you have to start it within 48 hours of getting sick.
The flu has been so bad that my local CVS has already run out of it. My daughter and I both have it. Tired, achy, cough and fever. Good luck!
Wow I did not think of that but it makes sense. I’ve heard about all the antibiotic shortages as well. There sure is a lot going on right now.
I hope that you and your daughter feel better soon.
I work in an ER and urgent care. Seeing more and more flu, COVID, and RSV each week.
What is rsv like in adults? Also when can I expect this fever to break if it is indeed the flu. Been sitting at 101.6 since sat night. Been taking advil every 6 hours to keep it at bay.
RSV in otherwise relatively healthy adults is usually like any other cold. We don’t routinely test specifically for RSV but will find it once in a while. Seeing a lot of it in kids. Flu too.
Flu typically you feel like you got hit by a truck for 2-3 days and then it should start to let off the gas a bit.
Oh thank god I'm sitting at 99.3 with advil in me and feeling kinda eh still but I'd rather be over this.
Hope you feel better soon!
Thank you!
Sure it's not Covid? Took me 3 rapids before I confirmed this weekend. Initial symptoms felt like flu.
Everyone is sick around me and all tested negative for covid
the "Quademic" dilemma at work - -
I was feeling off and tested negative. Tested again 3 days later as positive. Feels a lot like the flu. Test again.
Actually just took another test 15 mins ago. Still negative. Everyone else tested negative too. Whatever it is still isn't the most fun thing in the world.
Probably the flu or rsv. Get well soon! I’m on day 4 of Covid and it sucks.
COVID is gone in the wind and has been for over a year...they just call everything COVID and on the tests, if you have any SARS virus (cold) you are going to test positive.
Wind is a myth. All the leaves move at the same time to mimic wind. Leaves aren’t real either.
I like this idea, new one for me. Got any references?
Go to You Tube and watch any video from Dr. Michael Yeadon ex CEO of Pfizer
Just get the flu shot
A week ago 2 people in my family had the flu - that is why this caught my eye, I'm waiting to get it.
One had a bad stomache and was really tired and at one point felt like he needed a bucket to throw up.
The other one..just had a bad stomache and a cough and diarrhea for a couple days.
Both were sick within the same week...different symptoms...but "stomach mostly complained about in one way or the other".
Was the cough wet or dry?
Honestly i dont remember but his sister was on phone speaker today and said he sounded better...no medicine needed.
Today is my 2nd full day feeling like absolute trash. Fever earlier was 101.6 before I decided to breakdown and take ibuprofen. Saturday night it was like it came on all of a sudden.
Weird I had this today. Woke up to sharp stomach pains and 💩. Has to call out sick, passed out on the couch. I had the chills and a bad headache. Feeling better now after 12 hours. My wife had the same thing a few days ago and her friend as well.
Same exact thing happened to my son on Monday of last week...he couldn't go to work but by Tuesday he was better
My kids just got over it. We had to see the doctor cause of fevers and tested positive for it. They were given tamiflu and that helped with the symptoms a lot. There was mild vomitting, fever that would spike at night, runny/stuffy nose, and non productive coughing. Lasted a little over a miserable week. All covid tests done throughout the week were negative.
Not sure if it’s the flu but I’m dealing with horrible body aches, headache and chills. Oh yeah and a sore throat. Sucks.
Same here! I’ve had a horrible sore throat, low grade fever that wouldn’t quit for a couple days even rotating Advil and Tylenol, body aches and chills that kept me in bed for 24 hours, headache, nausea, and now a cough. I took a PCR test Sunday for both COVID and flu, both negative. No clue what I have but it definitely is worse than the average cold
Sheesh.. well I hope you feel better soon!!
You as well!
🙏🏼🙏🏼
Is no one getting the flu shot?
I haven't for the last few years I think my senior year of high-school was the last time that was 10 ish years ago. Been lucky till now.
I got the flu shot once in my life. 45 days later I got the flu. The flu shot protects you from the prior years flu strain.
Yep, got my flu shot (& booster) literally 47 days ago aaaaand just battled something. Could’ve been flu, COVID or idk RSV but I also have cancer so everything’s a teeny bit harsher/quickly caught lol
Wife had Covid a little while ago, then my daughter had rsv. Last week I had the sniffles. Heard rsv was going wild in Rhode Island and of course with the changing weather everyone’s sick. Feel better!

It’s bad and getting worse quietly, walked into a Urgent Care yesterday and it was PACKED… to the BRIM. I made the mistake of asking how long the wait was and the “nice young lady” scoffed and told me to look around, “we don’t do wait times… definitely at least an hour, maybe two or three”. Stay safe out there, the medical care system is on the brink of implosion (and that’s just from the human capital side, let alone the conversation that the major hospitals in the state are defaulting and getting closer to bankruptcy).
My kids and I have been bed ridden with the flu since Friday, fevers of 102, all super week/dizzy. It suckksss
Have not gotten Flu shots in over 15 years. When I did get the shot, I got the Flu. I have not gotten the Flu since I stopped getting the Shot. Just wash my hands more often
I swear you’ve commented this before
