Avoid Tarbox Nucar used car folks. They are the manifestation of the "used car salesman" stereotype - in a bad way. Sketchy AF, on a good day. Outright dishonest the rest of the days.

All dealerships have some used car inventory, not just the ones that specialize in used cars. You can usually see what they have on their website.

I had a good experience at Landes Family Auto. Its just over the border in Attleboro. There was no pressure or typical pushy used car salesman bs. They had a good selection of cars in the 10k range and I haven't had any problems with the car.

Unless you require financing, at that price range I would not buy through a dealer. That is private party, Facebook, Craigslist, Autotrader territory. You are going to pay a markup to go through a dealer that won’t net you much safety.

Also the market is cooling down pretty quickly right now, so if you can wait it wouldn’t hurt.

Here's a tip if you are paying in cash. Not only will you have more power negotiating but certain ones might give you a receipt for less than what you paid so you don't get it that bad at the DMV. wink wink
