I had a postoffice.uri.edu email too. When I was there in the late 90's, they registered your username with last 4 of your SSN and your SSN was also your student ID #. It was clearly visible on your ID. 🤦🏻♀️

I think the switch to mail.uri.edu was when I was there, and when they moved away from your SSN being your ID, around 2003.

Me2. Though I feel like if there's anything in there I have no clue what it is, so they can go ahead and delete it. But I'm sure there's people out there who have stuff they want. But mine's a 16 year old email. I forgot all about it and assumed it was already gone tbh. I wouldn't have known about this notice if you hadn't posted this. I bet someone will be greatful tho.
