i have a brand new high efficiency furnace and hot water heater & typically pay 260 ish in gas monthly during the very coldest times of the year. 50 $ a month in the summer.
and..... pellet production is super bad btw

What do you mean by that? Like, you have a pellet stove but can't find pellets because of production issues?

Or that you would never consider getting one because you see turning waste from lumber processes into fuel as a bad thing?

Just put a new high efficiency furnace in and an awaiting the first full month bill with it running to see how much it really saves..

It sounds like you pay for gas by usage. I also have a gas furnace and water heater an a few years ago I switched to the payment plan, so instead of the bill jumping up and down depending on the temps I pay an average of $110 per month all year long.
