My sister in law and her children are chronically and unexplainably ill with symptoms aligning with mold. I’d like to recommend she get her house checked and recommend some companies for her to reach out to that will provide a free inspection. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

I also work via Telehealth with Dr Gary Kracoff out of Johnson Compounding in Waltham for mycotoxin health issues (we did various tests to confirm a mycotoxin issue and bow are doing immune boosting functional medicine work) — not cheap (though cheaper than some other docs), but has been valuable for my health.
We did actual attic mold remediation with Riggen Environmental and were impressed with the work they did and the price was competitive/good.

In my experience most mold remediation companies will try to scare you into an expensive remediation plan. I used Air Sciences to clean up my attic and they were reasonably priced and offer a life time transferable warranty, no scare tactics of any kind. Owner comes for an estimate and supervises the main crew. Initial inspection is free.
Do not use Serv-Pro. Awful, Awful company.
