Ski shop plus in n Smithfield has a lot of gear, but I haven't been in a while because I remember the place feeling pricey. I may just be cheap, though!

I live by there and they had (or still may have) a sign on the street that said X country package for $350. Might want to call. I know downhill ski boots are one of those things you want to try on yourself, not sure if x country is different.

I've been xc skiing forever like45 years. You get what you pay for. Shops in RI haven't a clue. What gear they do carry is not of good quality. And they usually don't know how to fit you right. I buy all my gear from shops in NH. It's a pain to go there but worth it in the end. Btw I skate ski and classic. I also race xc. So in the end it's your choice,I would never buy xc skis in RI.
