For American Chinese, within 10 miles of Kings Garden you aren't going to find better.
But if you want to change it up and go Thai, around the corner on park across from where Benny's use to be is Thai Orchid. Best Thai until you hit Boston or New York.
Edit: Crap. Forgot about lemongrass at the end of Elmwood in Warwick. Not too much further than Kings Garden and they are really, really good.

Not Chinese but I always like going to 4 Season Restaurant on Reservoir Ave. It serves South East Asian food but some stuff on the menu are similar to Chinese food here in the state.

Great Wall in Cranston is cheap, good and has quick delivery. Taste of China in Exeter is also delicious, would also recommend Dragon Palace in narragansett
