My mom asked for her knives to be professionally sharpened as an Xmas gift so I obliged. I am looking for the best professional knife sharpeners in Rhode Island. Recommendations and horror stories welcome. Thanks!

The vendor Stock Culinary Goods works with (who I believe is also often at the Pvd farmers market) is excellent

I used Sharper Harper at Stock in the last six weeks. Drop it off on a Sunday and it will be ready by Tuesday.

I had six knives done. No chance of losing them in the mail this way as they don’t leave store.

I had one Kai Shun that had several small chips in the edge and a tiny bit of the tip missing but still looked beautiful. He shaped the edge and tip and it looks brand new. And it was so sharp that as I placed one knife back in the wrapping next to it and very lightly just touched the blade it drew blood. It is now the sharpest blade I’ve ever had. https://www.sharperharper.com

If you were born in Rhode Island between 1978 and 1984, the state issued you a Ginsu knife, which has the sharpness and durability of a samurai sword. But wait, there’s more!

Do not do this OP.

They will ruin the knives. They just put them through a automated pull through machine with a "standard" angle/bevel. Check r/knives for horror stories about WS.
