Registration question

Has anyone paid their car registration renewal and not received their registration and stickers? Or am I just unlucky? It’s been over a month and still nothing. I know they are issuing newly designed plates, would the delay have anything to do with that? Or do I assume it’s lost in the mail? Haven’t found much help on their website or elsewhere so I figured I’d try here as well

I work with a guy who has encountered the same problem. He said AAA told him to bring in the registration and show them and they'll issue stickers, but he hasn't done it yet so I don't know if that's your answer. Hopefully it works for you. At least I can say you're not the only one.

Do you have your proof of payment for the tags? Worst case if you get pulled over, flash that and say you're waiting for the tags to arrive. Then call DMV saying you were pulled over due to their negligence, not your own. YMMV

I'm not 100% sure on the process, but I had to do something similar. My wedding deposit was lost in the mail and had to make USPS search for it. Whatever that may mean. My wife initiated the request. Pretty sure you can do it all online

This happened to me a couple years ago, call the DMV and they'll send you a new set

I had this problem but it was due to owing car tax (never received notification from the town) double check to make sure you don't owe money to your town or check directly with aaa or the dmv

I made sure there was no balance before paying the registration

I did mine just before Christmas and my reg and stickers came in last Friday. I don’t have the standard plate design, though, so I don’t have to deal with the whole new wave plate BS.
