I'd assume she's either the devil or somehow related to the devil.

She doesn't just do Route 6 Kia commercials, it's a national ad where they just change the read for each dealership's name.

Glad to know other parts of the country are cursed with this commercial as well

Yeah! I heard this same commercial up in Maine the other day, for a totally different dealership - I don't think it was even a Kia dealership. I think the same is true of the "Heavy Hitter" - it's an advertising package. I heard another Heavy Hitter commercial down south somewhere - either Alabama or Georgia.

whoa, you mean to tell me there's another Heavy Hitter? is it still the same jingle?

Low-Medical t1_j4cn045 wrote

Yes! I just looked it up - there's a compilation of all of them on YouTube, but I'm not sure how to post it here - just look up "Heavy Hitter Law Ads" on YouTube. Same jingle, but they change the lyrics to match the phone number: e.g. "Call the Heavy Hitter don't hesitate, call 1 800 LAW 2888", "Call the Heavy Hitter don't be a hero, Call 1 800 LAW 2220", etc. Pretty amazing.

wow, I have to commend them for changing the line to rhyme with the phone number digit changes

I went there to check out the cars despite my loathing for the commercials. And the salesmen were somehow worse.

Running joke with my daughter .. I take the audio from the commercials and rename the file something fun. Send it to her and sit back with devils ears laughing my ass off.

This is like the d'oliviera and associates ad- or Mark E Salamone & Morelli in CT... Someone else in Jersey etc

I remember the Mark E Solomone commercials from when I lived in Mass!!!! Those were annoying but still less annoying than this lady’s voice

blueimac540c t1_j46i9ad wrote

It's funny, because Morelli isn't licensed in Massachusetts so they have a slightly different one with him in CT, but it's exactly the same otherwise lol

Radio car commercials in RI have taught me two things:

-I will never ever ever ever ever buy a KIA. Ever. Fuck that commercial. Swaaaaaaaaanseeeaaaaaaa. Fuck.

-I will probably never buy a Mitsubishi either, because that other dude is flexing that while all brands have nothing left to sell, he has his whole lot full! That tells me all I need to know about the desirability of Mitsubishi vehicles.

Not only are these commercials nationwide, but they are for various manufacturers too. Driving through Ohio I heard it as a Chrysler/dodge/Jeep commercial.

AmazingTast t1_j457zw9 wrote

That commercial is a national campaign. She isn’t local. The accent the actors are doing is mimicking old film noir detective movies, not the Rhode Island accent. They use that ad all over the country. That’s why every time they say the dealership name the words are slightly spaced out. They edit together the dealer name from a list of recorded phrases.
