It’s my little brothers birthday next Friday and it’s supposed to be cold! I wanted to pre-game at the beach (since it’s been warm this weekend) but not gonna happen so we need bar inspiration!

Brother is a quiet guy who opens up when drinking- he prefers busy environments with more music and sound so he doesn’t feel like there are awkward silences. I’ve got a group of 8 of his friends who are coming. We would like to bar-hop in providence or Wakefield- even Newport is a consideration. We frequent Westerly, RI often, so we don’t want to do downtown westerly.

His favorite music is electro-swing and he loves speakeasy vibes, live comedy and live music! He would love to get tipsy and sing some karaoke in a crowded space where he won’t feel judged.

Please help me make my shy brothers 25th special! 🥰🥰

There's going to be some live dark electro at MAYDAY in providence on Friday. The place has somewhat of a cyberpunk speakeasy vibe.

Tavern 12 is nice. I love free play if you wanna play arcade games for $10 and there’s a dance floor too.

Kimis would be a good start. It’s dark and vibey in there but the playlists are always on point. The layout is comfortable too where it’s not awkward if it gets too busy. There’s a seating in a corner where your party would fit. They also have a selection of board/card games you could start the night with. Then salon downtown - fun music and vibey, pink neon lighting, a Photo Booth and frozen drinks. Frequented by demographic of his bday age imo. Have fun!

Eta: Kimis used to be a car garage/mechanic shop turned into a pretty bar! And has a fire pit outside.

Sorry also wanted to add: freeplay barcade downtown. All you can play games like ddr and Mario kart or air hockey. If your group is up for it after a few drinks - can serenade him happy bday at Boombox Karaoke bar downtown. They have fun tiki like drinks that come in ceramic cat cups, and lighter drink options like sake. I’m too shy to sing karaoke but it’s always fun watching other people have fun with it

I always like to stop at The Eddy when I’m in Providence…maybe not what you’re looking for though

Group of 8 is a bit hard to fit at Eddy. I think Kimis would be perfect though like suggested.
