Anyone know the location of one?
Maxwell Mays out in West Greenwich
https://www.google.com/maps/@41.633899,-71.5804677,99m/data=!3m1!1e3 There is an active beaver dam here, but you may need to walk a little ways to get there as that road is usually closed off.
Where did you find the otters?
Muskrat Pond at Caratunk Refuge in Seekonk
Tillinghast pond has one but you have to take a canoe out to see it. They also also get really mad at canoes and will slap their tails at you.
the monastery paths in cumberland has beavers!
We have mink as well. Spotted one in Middletown
Second Maxwell May's. Very active 🦫 population and easily accessed/followed trails.
Head to Big River in West Greenwich. I’m constantly running by beaver dams there
Otters 🥰🥰
Part of the bike parth in SK near the west Kingston train station has had them in the past. I remember parks and Rec having to destroy it.
Ooo where in Middletown?
I'm pretty sure beavers were always at it on the back side of Carbuncle Pond and the Moosup River out Route 14 in western Coventry near the Connecticut border, and that's why the road in got flooded decades ago and the original parking lot is inaccessible. I'm not sure how much of the land around Carbuncle is public, but I think more is now than when I was a boy and it butts right up against the Trestle Trail. I always liked hiking and riding out there.
Yes, two days in a row this past summer I saw a pair of mink at India Point Park -- it was at the height of when millions of tiny fish were there.
Great swamp.
Fort Nature on Rt5 in North Smithfield. I hiked there years ago and saw plenty of beaver activity.
Lot of beaver dams in West Greenwich like said , they are so f*cking neat to look at
My parents old house in Richmond off Beaver River School House Rd. has TONS of beavers. So much so it was hard to fish during the day and night because the beavers were always in the way.
The beavers have revived Blue Pond in Hopkinton. Easy hike. Nice spot. Plenty of beaver activity.
Hanging Rock area near the beach.
East side of Tillinghast Pond has beaver lodges but I’m not sure I’d call any of the structures there dams
bird sanctuary exeter
Thank you!
Otters are so cool. Most people have no idea RI has them.
They keep destroying it, but the beavers there always rebuild it. Honestly it’s very comical.
