Also hunting related… sporting clays. It’s basically golf with shotguns. There is multiple “holes” that have multiple clays that simulate different animals and presentations. The rabbit is my favorite (bounces on the ground).
Peace Dale has an easy and hard course. They rent shotguns. As a lady, I can shoot a 12 gauge, but I prefer a 20 gauge over under. I would avoid any clays that go straight up. Your instinct is to lift your head off the gun, and then the gun recoil will punch you in the face. As long as your face and shoulder are against the gun, it doesn’t have the space to smack you. I suggest you start with 1-1.5 boxes of ammo per person (instead of two). If you are having fun, stop and grab a second box. You also don’t have to shoot both clay presentations at each hole/stand. You can try just one… you can try the same one five times… as long as you aren’t keeping score, you can do what you want!
