Looking for most reliable dealer to buy a used car, preferably SUV-ish. Would love to find something with under around 50,000-60,000 miles on it for around 25k. I’m googling now, but anyone have suggestions for good pre-owned places, trustworthy, etc?

Everyone pointed me toward Sandy Motors in Coventry. Bought an F-150 about 3 years ago. So far I've spent less than $25 in repairs.

My husband bought a work van from Sandy Motors and it was a great vehicle.

I had a no BS situation with Patriot Subaru. No pressure, no unexpected fees, no trying to sell me things I don’t need.

Do not trust the guys at Tarbox Nucar. Very slippery, not totally honest.

I was there last week to buy a pre owned hybrid. Since they didn’t have any on the lot they went full on trying to sell me a gas car. So happy I stood my ground and left.

Carmax. No haggling so you pay sticker price. Buy a warranty if you are concerned about repairs. Bought my last car there and would totally do again

I bought a used Tacoma from the Car Store in Attleboro. They have no haggle prices and all of their cars are backed by Tasca dealer warranties. They make money off of financing though so if you already have a loan secured you can do pretty well there without the typical car salesman bullshit

Search the Toyota certified pre owned website. Get a rav if you can they are very reliable.

Good to know. I’ve been looking at Ravs! They seem solid. I don’t need anything flashy. Just dependable.

Seriously get a Toyota or Honda. I have had nothing but Toyotas my driving life and have never seen an issue. Look at the maintenance schedule on a prius or a new rav. Nothing but oil changes and tire rotations until close to 100k where they recommend plugs and wires. They are extremely dependable cars as long as you do regular maintenance. And not flashy :D

Could try the Hertz used car dealership. Cars mostly have around 50-60k miles on them.

Where ever you go from dealer to 2nd/3rd hand dealer bring a certified mechanic or someone who knows about cars.

Had good luck with Hyannis Honda on the Cape. Did everything via email, they drove the car to Little Compton for the VIN check, and met me at Middletown DMV. They drove my old car back, I took delivery of the new (used) car at the DMV. Got an ‘18 CR-V that has been a pleasure to drive. They have a couple good CR-V options on their site now that may be worth a look.

Yes I'll say Sandy Motors, it's been 6 years since I bought a SUV there and aside from oil changes, one head light... Good people great deal 🤝
