If by privileged you mean those who are smart and work hard then I guess we agree

And you think we live in a victimocracy. Because it couldn't be that poor choices lead to poor outcomes right?

Your cynicism truly is wisdom.

Oh, playing the “You’re a victim!” card? Haha. Pathetic.

Most judges and lawyers (it’s often that lawyers become judges) come from wealthy families with connections that can get them into, and pay for, law school. They party in frat houses, pay off schools to graduate. Then they shake greasy hands with those connections they got from going to these law schools, in order to get the position they’re looking for.

It’s the definition of privileged. You’re a naive idiot, if you think otherwise. Why do you think our prisons are overwhelmed with nonviolent/innocent people? Gotta feed that prison system.

Grow up my guy. You don’t live in paradise.

Nor do we live in hell.

And you know what privileged families are? A line of people making good decisions. These good decisions result in an easier life for their children and why shouldn't that be the case?

Don't get me wrong, I don't believe it's 100% merit that determines success. There's definitely some luck and geography involved but by and large smart hard working people succeed and dumb lazy people fail.

I think your arguments are dumb and lazy, how successful are you?

Good GOD you’re dense. You’re chalking up affluent kids, to “oh they just worked hard and made good choices.” There’s a report from Georgetown University that I will link below, that shows for minorities and those not born of wealth, it doesn’t matter how hard you work, or how talented and smart you are. The biggest main factor in success is family wealth. Privilege…

Your whole idea of “work hard and don’t be lazy” is a fucking cop out so you don’t have to address the actual problem of privilege. Not to mention the massive problems of giving these privileged people the power to incarcerate those less fortunate. OF COURSE THEY WILL USE THAT POWER TO KEEP THEMSELVES ELEVATED, and lock the less fortunate into a cycle of poverty and prison so they can’t replace those in power.

You need a better perspective. Educate yourself with this.
