To be Selfless is to be concerened more about someone else than yourself lol, though a by product of you helping someone should be to feel good
So is this not a shower thought or did i incorrectly word it?
Not to be a dick but I just think the whole thing is fundamentally incorrect, selfish is thinking only about yourself, selfless means to not think about yourself, helping someone has thought about them, though you specified that it was only done to feel good selfishly, so it's like a broken statement because the other guy was thought about at least when you did the thing, if you get what I mean? You have an interesting brain op!
Hopefully the good kind of interesting brain!😂 but for sure, i posted this specifically because i had this thought the other night and i originally had it posed as a question but thats not allowed in this subreddit… thank you for the feedback! This is actually exactly the answer i was looking for tbh
haha yes good, made me think for a few seconds, so it wasn't for nothing! I bet you could reword it closely but have the desired effect you were aiming for!
sometimes you’re just obligated to do a favour and it doesn’t make you feel good.
Like sure I’ll help out fam or friends if they ask a favor because I’m not an AH, but I don’t always feel good about it , sometimes it annoys you because it interrupts something else
Probably going to delete it to be honest, u gave me the answer i was looking for it just kept popping in my head so thought id post here and see if anybody said anything… nice talking to you!
Sometimes making somebody happy and maintaining a good relationship is worth the cost of a little frustration but people tend to abuse kindness so its tricky sometimes
take care op!
