Or you could do some research into the background and history of Halloween and find a different reason to enjoy it. Halloween isn't about candy...

I don’t eat very much candy, but I do enjoy when the kids come and are really excited about it during trick or treat. This year, I even have warm cider for the parents! I bought some spooky cups.

What about pumpkin everything (pie, drinks, etc)? Cider? There's a lot more food than candy around Halloween. There's also scary movies, corn mazes, dressing up, decorations, haunted houses, haunted hayrides, and pumpkin pumpkin carving. Do you hate all of it? I honestly hate pumpkin anything but I still love Halloween.
