I agree. People don't make kids because kids that don't exist want to exist, that makes no sense at all. People make kids because they want them, for reasons that are entirely their own. They also make them accidentally. None of these kids requested to be born, nobody asked them.

One could argue that the choice is not entirely their own. As a species we have an innate instinct to reproduce to keep the species alive. I’d argue that the choice to not procreate is more one’s decision than to make a baby.

it actually depends on the parents and how they raised their children. parents who act like their children are supposed to be grateful for being born really sucks because their children wouldn't be ungrateful in the first place if they did the parenting properly.
