What if a kid decides to jump in, another one starts it, and now you can't open it to release the trapped, panicked kid?

All you have to do is hold down the lock button to release it. And now there's a second kid outside who should be screaming at you to save their brother/sister, rather than a single kid trapped inside that you can't hear.

Is it really that dangerous lol my grandma would literally let me and my sister put our feet in her top load washer for entertainment lol it’s not actually that dangerous at least maybe not the older ones
