Twice as many human nipples. Don't forget the animal nipples.

You'd assume that wouldn't you, but I have negative 7B nipples. The human average is 1

Although the average certainly isn’t two, it only slightly less than two (1.99ish*). If we’re rounding to the nearest whole number, it’s definitely going to be two.

*I pulled that number out of thin air.

There are 16005221600 human nipples in the world and counting.

Given the number of women who've had mastectomies due to breast cancer vs. the amount of people with an extra nipple, I'd imagine the average is somewhat < 2

You'd think that were the case, but apparently the rate of third nipple occurance is in the range of 1/20-1/40, which probably outnumbers occasional nipple losses (boy, that's a phrase, isn't it?).

I’d say probably more people have had mastectomies than third nipples

You're saying you think more people are born with extra nipples than have had them surgically removed due to breast cancer treatments/burn grafts/other injuries?

REmanji t1_iy9gtvq wrote

I would say if you count all animals the average is probably way below 0.1 because only mammals have nipples and all the insects massively outnumber them

Statistically it should be around 2,8 since many people have multiple Nipples (seriously, like every 3th human one earth has more than 2)

Thats super rare and I already took people that gad their breast removed (breast cancer shit, and it can happen to everyone) wich is a bigger number of people but still not that significant compared to 8 billion people.

Add another point. Does a dead person count as human? Do the nipples on a dead person count as nipples?

I'd add the number of nipples on corpses, but not add the number of corpses to the number of humans. Though it's difficult to gauge how much impact this has. How long does a body need before the nipples decompose? What's the average number of corpses in this range. Are there stats on cremation vs burial?
