Thank you. Your words soothe me.

Delivered mail for 42 years. For an observant carrier, this isn't far from the truth. I saw divorces coming months in advance. I watched kids grow up and go to college. When you are on the same route for 20 years, you get to know stuff.

Thank you for coming forward! The more we understand, the less we fear.

The USPS has Informed Delivery.
Do you supposed that added that service after a three-letter-organization insisted on all mail being photographed?

Careful, they know where you live!

google/apple/amazon/facebook (depending on your preferred platform) has a hundred times more info on you than your mail carrier.

This is a friendly reminder to read our rules.
Remember, /r/Showerthoughts is for showerthoughts, not "thoughts had in the shower!"
(For an explanation of what a "showerthought" is, please read this page.)
Rule-breaking posts may result in bans.

In the universe where that job is still so popular that they don't have a constantly changing roster as they are constantly overworked...no, not even then. That person won't know ages, occupations, financial status, nothing.
If they really do it for a long time they might remember your face and where you live, but they have thousands of faces and places every day. Not like they are going with a list on which to add stuff like "Mmmh, the packet was heavy, must have been a Weight Plate for the gym"
