Well, in the UK if you are old enough to drive you are old enough to be not sneaking about.

I've driven several EVs and only the Nissan leaf in my experience has a backup beep. Other cars emit a low hum when they drive but usually don't beep. I much prefer that bc the backup beep was pretty obnoxious, although you can avoid it if your driveway is sloped up toward the house by just going in neutral lol.

Then they'll have to back in when they get back. They're fucked either way.

Actually there will 100% be mods to change/disable that noise. So the smart ones will be golden.

How do they explain the car being turned around in the morning?

Dad checking the Tesla app gps: "Makeout point, huh? Activate remote fart mode."

They're getting smarter too though so if geo-fencing alerts are built in, parents may get notified. But yes, ebikes/scooter's may provide some additional assistance in the sneaking as well.

Yeah.. you can also get alerts from sentry mode if you want. I don’t use it because it goes off constantly when I’m at work

You need to log in as a user so if parents have admin privileges, the car will record everything, where it went, how fast it was driving, and what time it came back. Come the next morning, the electric cars will snitch everything to the owner parents.

Yeah, you should get him a muscle car with a really big engine, because it will make a lot of noise and prevent him from sneaking out. That’ll show him

Who said anything about a big engine or a muscle car?

Glad I never needed to "sneak out". If I wanted to go out, my parents would just be like "Sure, have fun, just remember to lock the door when you get home."

I’m just looking forward to the fact they can’t add fart cans to the back

Expect cars to very soon implement bio-security measures so that the car can identify the driver using more than just which key they are using. If a teenager sneaks out and takes the car then it may be the car that snitches on them. They will probably also implement parental controls so that junior can't turn the car on after 10pm unless mom or dad is with him.

Also, make sure you get it back in time to fully charge it before your parents need to drive it to work. It's not as easy as topping off the tank in an ICE engine car.

Well until my my car sends me a text message saying that it’s playing my favorite day playlist. If it’s a Monday? Well it’s gonna wake up the neighborhood!

The cars are quieter but far easier to track. It's less easy to sneak out now given how our every move is tracked. Unless kids are keeping burner phones and using Uber to get around.
