Does it still count as invasive if the species adapted to their new environment?

It could be argued that the species is thriving even more in the new environments than in the original.

I’m pretty sure it does. From what I’ve read, we meet all the requirements. Some sites say that the only criteria are not being native to the area and the capacity to cause harm to the environment, economy, or human, and I think we definitely meet those requirements, mostly with harming the environment with that last one.

I’m in no way an expert on this but I think there’s some weight to it.
