Hi guys <3

I am relatively new to the area (mid 30s cis hetero female, grad degree, working in client management) and wondering where mid 30s professionals hang out....I'd like to meet some new people (men and women) and date (hate the apps).

Are there certain places point72, UBS, deloitte folks go for happy hr?

I am having a particularly hard time meeting men who are doing well financially, work out, are well educated, and want to be in a lt relationship/life partner. Any advice from men and women would be so so so much appreciated <3

Tried indoor rock climbing and couldnt get into that. Also tried row house, etc but felt most ppl just come/go just for the workout.

Interesting that you mentioned Deloitte. With the WFH culture, the happy hour scenery has almost died

I believe there is a recently created women's only Reddit chat that may have some female-specific advice for you. Maybe one of them will jump in.

I think my advice these days is to seek out groups/organizations rather than places of business. For example, a group that goes to trivia night at XXX every Tuesday is more reliable than going to Happy Hour every Tuesday. Especially for your purposes of dating with intent, you want someone that others can endorse either explicitly or implicitly through being associated in an organization of some kind.

Hope that helps.

Join our group chat - we’ve had a few meets ups so far and they’ve been really fun and the people are great. I’m a 40 / f and would love to connect and meet new people in the area! I’ll try to figure out how to add you haha

Yes, that's true. Seems like the Wheel might still have a happy hour scene. I wish happy hour would come back in some ways and in others I am happy it's gone lol puns are so funny. Appreciate your note : )

If you didn't like Beta, you could try the Stamford running club. My boyfriend and friend both like running in it. I think it's paused for cold weather right now?

There's a good aerial studio in Stamford, Empowered Aerial Fitness. I go there a few times a week and have met a nice group of young women.

There's also a crafty discord chat from this subreddit for people who like to needlepoint, sew, etc.

I’m on the flip side of your coin (as a 29M) but same goal. I’d be happy to link up & meet new people together! Hit me up any time.

Same goes for anyone reading this looking to meet new people.

I see some meet up notifications for the running club - meet sat morn 9 am in front of lorca - do you know if it's a mix of men and women? has your bf been going recently? It seems intimidating to me because I am not a runner but I should try it out. You're my accountability partner now LOL I shall report back Really appreciate the recommendation : )

I think it's a decent mix of men and women. I have a good girl friend who goes semi frequently too. (Not recently as she's marathon training)

He hasn't been since the fall, so I'm not sure what it's like right now.

Hey! I work at Freepoint and on the occasion we have hh’s we head to capital grille or barcelona. I’ve connected with people who work at P72 & UBS at these places as well. A CLE event may be a decent place to start for you, good luck!
