Mint mobile has been great for me and works very well in Stamford. It uses the T-Mobile network which is strong. I pay <$20 a month, I'll DM you a referral code to save you some money if you'd like.

I am on t- mobile right now and sometimes internet is meh in my area ( downtown)

This scares me a bit

Then again I never had a problem with phone calls, just inside my building is meh

I'd also like to second Mint Mobile. I prepaid $380 for 12 months of unlimited data. Mint is an MVNO meaning it uses T-Mobile's network but you are second tier priority behind T-Mobile users, so speeds on Mint can drop if there are too many people in the area. I have never once experienced this, and have used Mint for 4 years.

I mean $32/mo (after taxes and fees) for unlimited data is a steal. I consistently get 200+ Mbps speeds.

I also buy my phones outright instead of financing. But it still works out to cheaper and more flexible than getting a 2 year contract with the likes of Verizon, Tmo, or ATT.

I have Optimum Mobile (which we got for free for a year through signing up for their internet) and I would not recommend it. Around where we live it's fine but other parts of Stamford as well as in lower Manhattan where I work the service is terrible.

Att prepaid 16gb for 320 a year. Comes out 27/month. Way better than the shitty mint
