There are some terrible property management companies operating in Stamford so help out a future tenant by leaving a quick review of your company! Hoping we can make this into a good thread which people can reference in the future.

I'll start things off!

Company name: MarLo Associates
Building address: 485 Summer St
When you lived there: 2022 - present
Would you recommend them: Yes!
Comments: Great management, quick to fix issues (usually same day), friendly staff and very cheap rent (relatively speaking for the area)

Company name: Sofi Building address: 50 forest

When you lived there: 2022- present

Would you recommend them: yes

Comments: Super quick maintenance requests. Thick walls, almost never hear neighbors. Only issues are the mail system (it's a hot mess, finding your own mail can be a massive pain if you don't use the Amazon hub.) Also, there's only three elevators for an entire building's worth of people. Overall would recommend, they've treated us well, as they should considering the price.

Company Name: GNA Associates
Building Address: 51 Bank Street
When you lived there: from 8/21 to 11/22
Would you recommend them: Yes
Comments: When we were looking in the area, they were offering $3050/month for a 3 bed/2 bath with washer/dryer unit. Most other buildings wanted $5k+ for the same.

I wouldn’t say they were super responsive on maintenance or the most organized, but as long as you paid rent on time they also never hassled you. We needed to go month-to-month after our lease ended, which should have jacked up our rent, but they never assessed it or asked us to renew.

The biggest potential downside is that the walls are paper thin to adjoining apartments, and the windows are fairly old, so noise could be an issue. I used to live on a busy intersection in NYC, so it didn’t bother me too much.

Bonus: there’s a restaurant on the first floor (Quartiere) that’s pretty good, and fun to hit up when we wanted to grab drinks/food on a whim.

Hello neighbor! Agree with your comments, I’ve lived at 485 Summer 2+ years and rent has only been raised by $25 since moving in. Accessing the garage can be a pain if the Spring St lot is busy but other than that it’s been great.

Thank you everyone for your reviews - please take 2 mins to add your review if you can!

I'd love some opinions on BLT / Harbor Point, we see lots of negative reviews here in the sub but I'd love to hear from some current tenants.

Been in HP for over a year (in a 2br/2bth). Fairly large apartment. I don't have any complaints outside of the pricing. It's safe, lots of outdoor space for dogs/kids, and my particular building has really good amenities. It's just expensive, but I don't have any building issues (well I don't live in Allure), neighbors are solid, no issues with noise. Not much to complain about from my end...
