-Te reo Māori is the name of the language of the native Māori people, in Māori.

-Kapa haka is the type of performance and dancers

-Tamari Makarau is the Māori name for Auckland

-And Te Matatini is the festival they’re performing at (it was on a 4 year hiatus)

They want to continue to spread Māori culture by keeping some flights hosted in te reo.

“Air New Zealand hosted a flight in the native language of New Zealand, te reo Māori, for the first time. Among those on the flight were haka dancers on their way to Auckland for a dance festival.”

Yeah that’s the gist of it. They enjoyed the flight being conducted in the language instead of their usual English
