Sorry to burst your bubble, but the USA's own record in human rights is pretty bad. It would be nice of things can start getting better from within the house.

By comparison to? The USA at least tries and often fails versus just not trying at all. Also, the USA's record on a lot of stuff is really crappy. Why would I want the USA to do more crappy things like support a China brokered deal that ignores human rights?

Again, usa is as bad as China, SA and Iran when it come to HR violations. That is why no one gives a damn when US pretends to be the moral police.
