To be honest I don’t think the cows would even care about having a mattress. They will immediately cover it in shit and piss. My da just throws straw into the shed. They find it just as comfortable and we switch it out maybe 2 or 3 times a week.

The article also mentioned that the woman installed Astro turf. Like why? They would much rather real grass for a path plus the cattle just make their own path.

At least she’s making efforts to be carbon neutral. It’s just silly that they are trying so hard to convince us the cows are happy as can be.

A place in india plays music for their cows.

I still don't understand why we can't just harvest milk produced by humans for humans.

Scale and cost.

Cows can get by on nothing but grass and other nutrient-poor plant matter. They also produce a lot of milk. Over 7 gallons a day at peak capacity.

Humans just can't compare.

I'm sure some day we'll have vat produced milk made by genetically modified yeast or something, at least.
