Always nice to hear the continuing march of divestment in the things that kill us. Ironically HSBC Canada's being bought by the Royal Bank of Canada - who love funding oil fields.

Very possibly. Back in the 70s it used to be in Leeds, just off City Square - a huge building, now a hotel. I remember it well, it was before they bought Midland Bank and they still went by the full name "Hong Kong and Shanghai Bank Corporation".
