Literally the first time in my life I decided to watch some football on my own, I tuned in to the Bills vs Bengals game right as the ambulance was on the field.

Glad he's doing better, I thought someone had died for sure when I first tuned in.

My mother hates sports and she was glued to the TV.

Don’t get any idea Roger Goddell.

Discharged to a Buffalo hospital that is. Still great news though.

Not a doctor but I don’t think that’s the case for sure, depending on the diagnosis. If it was some type of heart defect, likely yes. If it was the impact stopping his heart, that’s more of a freak incident (how many times had that happening in the NFL in the past 25 years?). I don’t know if having it happen once increases the likelihood of it reoccurring, but it’s not like a knee or neck/back injury that impacts your ability to move on the field. It’s not unreasonable to think a 24 y.o. professional athlete has a reasonable chance of playing again (assuming that they aren’t at a risk for reoccurrence. At the same time, no one would blame him for walking away either.

No one knows really. Personally if I was him, I'd make sure my health and body can handle playing football again without this or worse happening again.

The last thing anyone wants is for another Reggie Lewis situation to happen again. Risking ones life isn't worth a sport.

So the same thing basically happened to Jerry Lawler a few years ago. He had a match, few minutes later he drops dead at ringside, CPR, hospital stay, full recovery.

He"s in his 70s. He still works.

I understand that it's not NFL football. But who knows.

This has happened to NHL players and they were back playing within a few weeks. If there's no brain damage and no heart defect that caused it, it's really just a freak thing and there's no reason to believe it'd happen again. Damar could play in the playoffs if the Bills make it far enough.
