Hello! I am currently writing a book but I need some help. Is there ANY part of Seattle is considered rural? Or at least rural enough to have a gated home with Iron wrought bars with a canopy of moss over the gate?

Seattle Seattle, no, because that’s a city, but there’s absolutely places in western Washington that’d look like that. The western slopes of the Cascades and the Olympics come to mind.

But houses like that exist on the fringes of any major city, you’ll probably be fine.

Sure, everything has moss here . Highland area is old money and big houses with big fences and large areas for each house. Its near shoreline area just a little west on the water , Mega rich are in Medina area and have high fences and large lots also.

Tacoma down near Va hospital on American lake has some of that also but at a millionaire level not billionaire. If you scout the maps any areas on the puget sound or lakes can have wrought iron and a rural feel.

Also some of the islands are interesting and have larger plots of land Vashon or Bainbridge island of your looking for hermit feel the islands are interesting.

I think there might be houses like you want, though. Some of those big, old estates.

Maybe around Broadmoor or Laurelhurst? Some fancy places around there.
