I’ve lived in a lot of different places. There’s no place more beautiful than Washington.

Sorry, but if that's your opinion, you haven't lived every many places at all. Washington is beautiful....in certain places. Most of the others are Garbage bins. Please travel a bit more before assuming that Washington is paradise on earth.

There’s always that one person who feels the uncontrollable need to shit on something demonstrably awesome. Welcome to the party. I’m sorry you have to live with being you.

I'm sorry I have to live with being me as well. My post history will tell you all you need to know about why I'm a negative a-hole. I'm working on myself, and my mental healh. It's just that why takes only a few moments to happen, or in my case years, can take a lifetime to fix. I wasn't trying to shit on anything either. Just dropping my opinion based on what I've seen in western and eastern washington. White pass is a sight to behold.

Thanks, That means a lot honestly. I've been in therapy, and seeing a pysche doctor for almost a decade and it's a journey honestly. Especially when the on medicine that helps you isn't covered by insurance.

I'm not. I love being truthful. Oh the other hand, I'm sorry you have to move to Washington in order to realize what is considered a "Beautiful state". You've clearly never been downtown Tacoma, Seattle, etc. I'm sorry you're so salty like you're "Favorite" shithole is. Truth is hard to accept sometimes kiddo.

If you’re judging the beauty of a state based on what’s wrong with its urban centers, you’re not going to be happy anywhere. Face facts, you’re just a super negative person.

Well said. Completely agree with you. Yeah some of the rural areas do suck here in Washington. But that doesn’t cancel out the sheer beauty of the truly beautiful and amazing places we have around here in Washington. It’s like for me. Like in my comment I lived in Minnesota near the Mississippi River. And wasn’t far from Headwaters, or even the Boundary Waters (I actually recommend visiting there.) because it’s stunning. And heck even some of the small towns a great. Stillwater Minnesota is cute “little” town. I lived in Southern California out near Palm Springs Joshua Tree Park is beautiful for the nights sky’s. Lived in Florida near alligator alley. Absolutely hated it there but still pretty. There is beauty in every place. And sadly there is a lot of ugly too. Whether the people who inhabit the area or the actual landscape.

I lived in southlake union for 6 months. That's literally downtown. You seem like you're having a bad day and I'm sorry for that. I hope it gets better. I also worked at pike's place market and that was a great experience, because you get to meet and greet people from all walks of life.

Pikes Place is awesome for people watching or to meet and greet people. That’s the only real part of Seattle my wife and I like..

One of my favorite views is driving north on I-5 in Seattle just before the 520 exit, when the sun is low and casts a shadow of my vehicle on the imposing freeway wall to my right, looking out over lake union, past the ships and waterways of Fremont to catch a glimpse of the snow peaked Olympic mountains.

Driving into Seattle over lake Washington two weeks ago, the Olympics were shining, the mountain was out, and then driving home the sun was setting on the cascades.

Beauty is everywhere here if you're looking for it.

Holy crap, glad someone is also saying it. It's such a junkyard in some parts and I don't understand why given the wealth of the state.

Because of they idiots they elect, to be honest. I've lived here for about 7 1/2 years, and been waiting on ANYTHING to change. It hasn't. When news stations in Washington's favor put out video like "Seattle is dying" with a 2 hour documentary.....well it isn't good news. Not to mention the biggest job employer has decided to move out of Seattle for "Worker safety" and etc. You know it's bad. Either way, Washington USED to be awesome, and is now a landfill of bad politics and horrible crime/homelessness.
