Hello! I live in Seattle and have a friend visiting me this weekend from Wisconsin. Is there any good camping this time of year? I am worried about the wetness and not being able to make a fire.

Depends on how far you want to go, but check out Deception Pass state park. They have year round camping. The loop open this time of year is forested and fairly protected from the wind.

We did a coast trip in January. Started at pacific beach state park, then to Quileute Oceanside resort and ended at fort Flagler. Had fires at each. I will say this was in an RV (a first for me) but there were campsites at each spot. Otherwise I use Hipcamp to secure camping spots.

Bring some kindling and paper and/or a small axe. A lot of times those bundles you get at campgrounds are spilt logs and don’t have enough kindling to start the 1/4 rounds in rain. I camp with a 20x30 tarp and rope so I can tie it at a slope to trees and make a “rain shade” over the table and/tent. The slope is key to let the water run off and not collect. I’ve been camping in pouring rain this way happily playing cards with my friends.

Baker Lake up north may be an option.

If you want to check out campgrounds, you can find all of the public campgrounds in the state on our camping map https://maps.northwestportal.com/camp/ You might consider picking a place with camping cabins or Yurts (there is a filter for that.) And you will probably want to bring your kindling with you as the campground stores may not be open this time of year.
