Basically, my dad is a piece of shit, did not treat this dog right at all. I’d come down from Seattle to Tacoma every so often to help train him. He got rid of him because he kept chewing on stuff in his backyard and digging holes, this was a couple months ago around November-December time frame. My dad and I’s relationship is non-existent because like I stated earlier, he’s a pos. I’ve made multiple attempts to communicate with him about this matter and I get stonewalled each time, even asking my mom to talk to him to which he still remains tight lipped on the matter. The only Information I have is he gave him away to some farm but my intuition tells me that’s complete bullshit. This is the third dog he’s given away within a decade and it’s just so strange to me, why get a dog if you’re not gonna be responsible for it? Anyways, any info would help substantially. He’s under a year old and has a military camo harness. I’ve been calling local shelters in the area as well. Thanks. His name is Remmy

Hey. So besides calling local shelters, have you tried any of like the Tacoma groups?? Or surrounding Pierce County groups even by chance? I know here in Snohomish, we have a few called like the “Snohomies” or something dumb. Wouldn’t be shocked if there was a Tacomies one too lol.

But no. In all seriousness. Post him to some of the local FB groups. Even just a “lost/found dogs in Tacoma” group. You may be able to track him down quicker there!

Update: after talking with my mom some more she remembered that my dad said he gave him to his friend in Auburn, who has a farm there supposedly

No problem man! I hope you find the dog. You may be able to check out the Facebook group “Rehoming Pets WA state” or even “Tacoma Pet Rehoming”.

Theres a huge chance if you post his photo, someone will have seen it.

Second update: There is a dog that looks almost identical to him that was posted on the Auburn Humane society’s website on Facebook around January 19 so fingers crossed I’m gonna call and possibly head there tomorrow to get some information

Try the Facebook and the Nextdoor social media platforms if you haven’t yet. Nextdoor is location based and it has a lot of posts regarding finding lost pets. Good luck!

Final update: The Auburn Humane society is where he was found, I believe he ran away from my dads friends place and has been there for about a month and sadly he’s been adopted. The shelter tried making a plea for me to the adoptees but to no avail, they did not want to relinquish ownership to me. It’s truly demoralizing. I also don’t have documentation proving I own him either… Thank you everyone who has posted kind words and tried to help. Definitely restored some of my faith in humanity haha.

I’m so sorry for this my friend. I’ve got a mini van and I’m just outside Portland. You ever need an accomplice to get your dog back, let me know.

Just before I moved to the Pacific Northwest, I had to essentially break into my fiancé’s mom’s apartment and get my fiancé’s cat. She wasn’t feeding his brother, and so he passed away the day we went to drive out to the Pacific Northwest five day 3000 mile long road trip we decided to grab my fiancé is remaining cat and just go with no plan.

By the time we were across state lines, the police couldn’t do anything, and technically it was still my fiancé’s cat. He lived for another six months or so, but he had a very happy and loving life and I’m very appreciative that we are able to do that, so that’s why I advocate for stealing your dog back. .

It’s okay, and I’m sorry to hear that, I found him though kinda, he was at the Auburn humane society but was adopted a month ago sadly. I don’t think k can steal him because I’m pretty sure they won’t give me the address of the new owners. I appreciate your offer as well, that’s very kind of you.
