I love that place. The wind is exhilarating. I’m a big guy and I was being pushed by it. I loved that feeling

It really is. I have a video of me screaming into the wind at this spot. The gorge is gorge-ous.

Strange family tradition is to belt that song out at the top of your lungs every time you drive across it 😆

Mail plane pilots used to fly open cockpit Biplanes up the river in the dark in bad weather at 200 feet above the river being guided by nothing more than burning oil drums acting as beacons.

I'm a pilot and my thing is Vintage aircraft. My flying partner is the antique guy and introduced me to Addison Pemberton in Spokane. He has restored a 1928 Boeing 40C mail plane that they recovered in Oregon. Look him up. I am sure there is plenty of documented history. Look up National Postal Museum. Pemberton and Sons Aviation. As a person he is first rate.

Next time, hike up to the horses. You won't regret it.

What’s this spot?

It’s called the Scenic Overlook, should be a pulloff as you’re getting to the bridge headed Westbound I-90 or coming back from that general farmland area. It’s got some cool history on a metal placard and a nice walkway to stretch those road tripping legs. I’d stop there a lot on my Summer trips back from boating on Moses Lake as a kid.

Where is this? I feel like it's along I-90 before hitting Moses Lake, but I may be wrong.

It's the Vantage overlook. It's a pull off on I-90 just before you start heading downhill towards Vantage. It's only accessible from the west bound lanes. If you enlarge the picture, you can see the Vantage bridge in the distance.
